Your article is incorrect, the warm water increases blood flow to a body part, cold water decreases blood flow. Unless your article is trying to describe contrast therapy, which is heat, then cold, then back to heat. But your article does not mention that important step, your way cuts off the blood flow by intiating a vasoconstriction response.
i believe every thought is a theory until proven reality, and anything can be proven into reality.
maybe the cold shower stimulates your body to increase its own energy to keep the body temperature at 98.6 degrees.
